Elevate Outdoor Living is the creation of Mike and Samantha Barker- a husband and wife team who’ve been together since high school. What started as a basic vision of owning a landscape company, has now evolved into a full-service landscape, design, and build firm.
Elevate Outdoor Living was cultivated out of a passion for making the ordinary, extraordinary and the ability to see beyond the basic existing landscape. CEO, Mike Barker, has always had a very visual mind and has used his creative abilities to design captivating outdoor living spaces tailored to you and your family's outdoor landscape dream. We service the Greater Lansing area, including Williamston, Dewitt, Lansing, East Lansing, Okemos, Haslett, Grand Ledge, Mason, Fowlerville, Howell, and more!
WHAT IF I'M UNSURE OF A BUDGET?
It’s okay if you don’t have a budget, let us help you. During the initial phone call and the on-site consultation, we will provide some ballpark numbers to help you create a budget that’s in line with project expectations.
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE ON-SITE CONSULTATION?
During the consultation, you’ll show us around and give us an idea of the areas you’re wanting to address. We’ll discuss your goals and expectations and we’ll give you some of our ideas and possible solutions. This discussion serves as the start point for a proposal and a design or drawing (if needed). At the end of the consultation, we will then discuss what the next steps should be. We may email you a proposal or we can set up the next meeting where we will present our plans and proposals.
Do you offer Financing?
We offer same-as-cash and other payment options through a third-party finance company. Just let us know that you’re interested in financing when you contact us.
DO YOU CHARGE A DESIGN FEE?
In some cases, we will charge a design fee, which is based on the complexity of your project. We will provide a ballpark estimate during the initial phone call and a set price once we’ve seen the site. We use this fee to cover our time and expertise spent on-site analysis, designing, and estimating the project. Additionally, this fee can be refunded back into the cost of the project.
WHAT IS YOUR AVAILABILITY?
Our Design/Build schedule for the year is typically full by May/June, at which point we begin scheduling into the following year. It is generally recommended to begin planning your landscape renovation 6-12 months in advance. This period can be longer or shorter depending on demand, material being used, and time of year. If you have a deadline such as a wedding, anniversary, or birthday pool party planned it is advisable to begin the planning stages at least 18 months in advance to allow for any potential setback that could arise.
CAN YOU TAKE CARE OF MY ENTIRE LANDSCAPE PROJECT FOR ME?
Yes, we are a full-service outdoor living space/landscape design/build company. We install most elements of your yard with our skilled installation staff, but we will also act as General contractors for you - bringing on trusted tradespeople to perform work requiring special certifications such as electrical and gas. We take care of Hardscape, Softscape, Pools, Putting Greens, Landscape Structures, and more.
CAN YOU COME OUT AND GIVE ME A QUOTE?
If you would like us to come out, we are more than willing to do so. Our on-site consultations start at $250.
